In informatica SUSE Linux è una distribuzione GNU/Linux di origine tedesca e sviluppata principalmente in Europa. La prima versione è stata rilasciata nei primi mesi del 1994, SUSE Linux è quindi la più longeva distribuzione GNU/Linux commerciale. Lo sviluppo è attualmente gestito da Novell che ha acquisito SUSE nel 2003. SUSE è membro fondatore del Desktop Linux Consortium.
Grazie alla sua origine europea è molto apprezzata dal punto di vista della localizzazione e, più in generale, per non essere così legata alle impostazioni caratteristiche degli Stati Uniti d'America come la maggior parte delle concorrenti. Risulta molto semplice da utilizzare e mirato alla stessa utenza di Microsoft Windows, in quanto l'ambiente desktop è user-friendly e molto simile al sistema operativo di casa Microsoft.
