Il castello di Osterstein sul monte Hainberg sopra il quartiere di Untermhaus a Gera era il castello residenziale del principato di Reuß linea più giovane.
Durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, il castello fu distrutto da un attacco aereo il 6 aprile 1945, le rovine furono fatte esplodere nel 1962. Oggi rimangono della struttura originale solo il precedente mastio del XII secolo, il ponte Wolfsbrücke del 1857 che conduce al castello e resti di edifici di servizio e del cortile del castello.
