Lechtingen è un villaggio e una frazione del comune di Wallenhorst nel distretto di Osnabrück in Bassa Sassonia. Con 4.583 abitanti, Lechtingen è la seconda frazione più piccola del comune.
Il villaggio confina con le frazioni circostanti Rulle, Wallenhorst e Hollage, nonché a sud con i quartieri di Pye e Haste della città di Osnabrück. Parte del Piesberg, un tempo la più grande cava di pietra d'Europa, si trova a Lechtingen. Sul lato di Lechtingen del Piesberg si trova un arboreto con un albero di sequoia alto 33 metri. Un'altra importante attrazione è il mulino a vento restaurato di Lechtingen, presso il quale ogni anno si tengono diversi eventi all'aperto. Il mulino a vento di Lechtingen è considerato il luogo in cui è nata l'idea per il Giorno dei Mulini della Bassa Sassonia, da cui è successivamente derivato il Giorno dei Mulini Tedesco, che si celebra ogni anno il lunedì di Pentecoste.
