Guldborgsund è lo stretto tra le isole danesi di Lolland e Falster. Collega lo Smålandsfarvandet a nord con la Baia di Meclemburgo a sud. Lo stretto è lungo circa 30 chilometri; la sua ampiezza varia da 150 metri a Guldborg a 6 chilometri a sud di Nykøbing Falster. È navigabile per imbarcazioni con un pescaggio fino a 6 metri nella sua parte settentrionale ed è utilizzato per il traffico commerciale verso Nykøbing Falster. La parte meridionale è molto più bassa con una profondità minima di circa 2 metri e può essere utilizzata solo da yacht e altre piccole imbarcazioni.
