Nel 1248, per privilegio di Giacomo I, questo luogo si sgancia dalla dipendenza di Daroca, diventando parte della Sesma del Campo di Gallocanta nella Comunità di Villaggi di Daroca, che fu sciolta nel 1838.
Si distinguono la chiesa parrocchiale di Santa Maria La Maggiore e la cappella di San Mamete, con affreschi del XVIII secolo e pittura su tavola del XVI. Possiede anche i pilastri di: San Mamete, della Vergine del Carmine, delle Anime, della Vergine del Rosario e di San Gregorio, così come giacimenti paleontologici.
