Ribamontán al Mar è un comune spagnolo di 4.310 abitanti situato nella comunità autonoma della Cantabria, comarca di Trasmiera nella Costa Orientale della Cantabria entro la baia di Santander.
È posto in una pianura attorniata da picchi scoscesi che sovrastano le belle spiagge di Langre e Areniles. Di fronte al suo litorale c'è la rocciosa isola di Santa Marina la maggiore fra le isole della Cantabria unita alla costa da una lingua di terra che chiude la Ria de Cubas, formata dall'estuario del fiume Miera, confine naturale col comune di Marina de Cudeyo.
