Villafranca de Ordicia[3] è una località e comune spagnolo situato nella provincia di Guipúzcoa, comunità autonoma dei Paesi Baschi.[4]Il comune nacque nel 1256, quando il re castigliano Alfonso X il Saggio ordinò la sua fondazione nel luogo chiamato Ordicia. Anni dopo, nel 1268, lo stesso re conferì alla popolazione il titolo di villa e alcuni privilegi come il foro di Vitoria, rinominando la popolazione Villafranca, per sottolineare i diritti dei suoi abitanti.
