Berantevilla è un comune spagnolo della provincia di Álava, nella comunità autonoma dei Paesi Baschi. Situata a sud-ovest della provincia, sulle rive del fiume Ayuda. In euskera è solitamente chiamata Beranturi, sebbene questo nome non sia ufficiale e non sia considerato corretto dalla Real Academia della Lingua Basca. Questo nome appare sempre nella stessa forma in tutte le fonti scritte conosciute, la più antica è un documento dell'arcidiocesi di Calahorra dell'anno 1257, dove sono dettagliati tutti i villaggi esistenti, dove appare con V, inquadrata nell'arcipretura di Miranda. Non dimentichiamo che le attuali norme ortografiche dello spagnolo risalgono al XIX secolo.
