La battaglia di La Coruña venne combattuta il 16 gennaio 1809 davanti alla città di La Coruña, nella Spagna nord-occidentale, tra l'armata britannica del generale John Moore e l'esercito francese guidato dal maresciallo Nicolas Soult. Le truppe francesi attaccarono le posizioni difensive britanniche e al termine degli scontri occuparono il campo di battaglia e la città, ma i britannici, nonostante la morte dello stesso generale Moore e le dure perdite, contennero gli attacchi francesi, riuscirono ad evitare la totale distruzione ed a reimbarcarsi evacuando temporaneamente la penisola iberica.
