Il tracciato originario del recinto murato di Alcira, di cui attualmente sopravvivono solo resti di mura e torri, può essere localizzato attraverso le mappe stradali del 1864 e del 1870.
Di fronte alla biforcazione dei sentieri che conducono a Algemesí e Alberique si ergevano le fortificazioni difensive del ponte della Calzada o di San Gregorio, che permetteva l'accesso alla Fortezza Castellet di Sant Pere e alla popolazione. A sinistra si raggiungeva l'uscita di via Salinerías con muro e sette torri. Da lì a via D. Bernardo, con quattro torri. Passata via Carniceros si raggiunge via Mayor e le opere difensive del ponte del Arrabal; di questo tratto sopravvivono due torri incassate in abitazioni e nella Ronda con un tratto di mura, merloni e cammino di ronda che affaccia su via Mayor Santa María.
