Il monastero di Sant Feliu de Guíxols si trova nella popolazione di Sant Feliu de Guíxols, appartenente alla comarca catalana del Basso Ampurdan. È considerato come futura sede della Collezione Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza, nella sua sezione di pittura catalana.
La prima documentazione di questo monastero dell'ordine benedettino appare nell'anno 968 con la concessione che il re Lotario fa all'abate Sunyer, per poter governare contemporaneamente i monasteri di Sant Pol de Mar e di Sant Feliu de Guíxols. Tuttavia, nell'anno 1016, i conti Ramón Borrell e sua moglie Ermesenda confermano alcune proprietà che erano state donate in precedenza ai conti Suñer I e Riquilda, dato che il conte Suñer I era morto nell'anno 947, quindi si suppone che il monastero dovesse già esistere in questa data.
