Il Consiglio Generale di Aran è l'organo di governo autonomo della Valle d'Aran. È stato costituito ufficialmente dopo le elezioni del 1991 ed è composto da 13 membri. Secondo la Legge 16/1990, del 13 luglio, sul regime speciale della Valle d'Aran, è integrato dal Sindaco di Aran, dai Consiglieri Generali eletti alle elezioni del Conselh Generau d'Aran e che funzionano in Plenario, e dall'Oïdoria de Compdes.
