La Charca è un'area naturale protetta che si trova vicino alle dune protette di Maspalomas.
In effetti, questo lago si trova quasi all'uscita di un fiume in secca. Tra il lago e il mare c'è una stretta area di dune. Quando il fiume, in caso di abbondanti piogge, contiene acqua, questa finisce nel lago. Durante forti tempeste, l'acqua di mare invade l'area delle dune, rendendo l'acqua salmastra.
Qui si possono sempre vedere uccelli acquatici, è necessaria una coppia di binocoli.
