Il cimitero di Iznájar si trova sul pendio della roccia su cui sorge la città. Ha una vista spettacolare sul bacino idrico e sulle Sierras Subbéticas, che lo rende unico e caratteristico. È come se fosse una continuazione della città , con le sue strade strette, ripide, imbiancate a calce e le tombe piastrellate.
È considerato uno dei più belli dell'Andalusia secondo il libro "Cementerios de Andalucía" della Consejería de Obras Públicas y Transportes - Dirección General de Arquitectura y Vivienda de la Junta de Andalucía. Anno 1993.
È anche considerato uno dei più belli della Spagna , classificato 6° secondo la rivista "Adiós Cultural".
