Fu fondato come monastero nella prima metà del XVI secolo e i suoi lavori furono diretti dal baccelliere d'arte Alonso de Baena. L'ingresso principale è plateresco e la porta adiacente è gotica con arco fiorentino.
L'interno della chiesa è costituito da un'unica navata, nella quale si sono conservati importanti frammenti dello stile cinquecentesco .
