Questa piccola cappella fu costruita nel 1701 su iniziativa del frate cappuccino Fra Pablo di Cadice come sede dell'associazione spirituale di Nostra Signora del Cammino, da cui il nome popolare Capilla del Caminito (Cappella del Cammino). A metà del XVIII secolo questo nome fu sostituito da Madonna Addolorata.
La facciata principale, coronata da un campanile , presenta una facciata in marmo bianco , nel cui vano si erge la statua settecentesca della Vergine Maria che tiene tra le braccia il Cristo morto , anch'essa in marmo.
All'interno spicca la pala genovese che adorna il cuore del sacerdote, realizzata in marmi policromi all'inizio del XVIII secolo. È dominato dal gruppo scultoreo della Madonna della Paura , statua lignea policroma di scuola sivigliana realizzata nella prima metà del XVIII secolo.
