L'abbazia prende il nome dal vescovo di Autun, Saint-Léger, martirizzato nel VII secolo, la cui madre si era ritirata nell'abbazia di Notre-Dame de Soissons. Da non perdere il chiostro nel più puro stile gotico, con le sue ricche decorazioni, così come la cripta e la sua cappella.
