Melun /mə'lœ̃/ è un comune francese di 40.032 abitanti capoluogo del dipartimento di Senna e Marna nella regione dell'Île-de-France.La città è situata su un'ansa della Senna, 40 km a sud di Parigi. La Senna divide la città in tre parti: quella a sud, quella a nord e quella sull'isola fluviale di Saint'Etienne, che si trova proprio al centro dell'ansa e ne segue l'andamento curvo.
