Sito importante durante lo sbarco in Normandia, la batteria di Merville fu uno degli obiettivi strategici presi d'assalto nella notte tra il 5 e il 6 giugno 1944 dai paracadutisti britannici del 6° Airborne.
Con un mix di emozione, educazione e immersione, il tour aiuta i visitatori a comprendere l'importanza strategica di questa posizione tedesca e il coraggio degli uomini che la presero d'assalto alla vigilia del D-Day.
