La questione della frontiera sul Monte Bianco, infatti, è oggetto di annosa disputa: un settore di circa mezzo chilometro quadrato, pari all'estensione della Città del Vaticano, è al centro di controversie cartografiche e istituzionali tra le due nazioni.
