La rovina del castello di Landsberg in Alsazia si trova su un versante meridionale del massiccio dell'Odilienberg a circa 30 chilometri a sud-ovest di Strasburgo. Situato a un'altezza di 580 metri sul livello del mare su un promontorio, domina il villaggio di Heiligenstein nel dipartimento del Bas-Rhin.
Il castello a sperone è stato nel corso della storia anche chiamato Landsberch, Landesperg e Landsperg ed era il castello famigliare dei cavalieri di Landsberg. Dal punto di vista della ricerca sui castelli, il complesso è significativo per la concezione realizzata per la prima volta e quindi di avanguardia come castello a torre frontale con un mastio quadrato posto di traverso e le abitazioni che si ergono a protezione dietro di esso. Ha servito da modello per altri castelli alsaziani come Bernstein, Ortenberg e Birkenfels. La struttura è protetta come monumento storico dal 25 ottobre 1965.
