La battaglia di Abbeville si è svolta dal 28 maggio al 4 giugno 1940 tra le truppe della Wehrmacht e le forze corazzate franco-britanniche durante la campagna occidentale della Seconda guerra mondiale. Le truppe tedesche, che mantennero una testa di ponte attorno ad Abbeville, lungo il corso inferiore della Somme, furono in grado di difendere la loro posizione e distruggere oltre 300 carri armati nemici. L'obiettivo dell'assalto alleato era ripristinare la comunicazione tra le forze principali dell'esercito francese a sud della Somme e le truppe alleate a Dunkerque, mentre si tentava anche di tagliare fuori le punte corazzate tedesche che avevano penetrato fino al canale.
