Immerso nel cuore delle colline dell'Entre-deux-Mers, Sadirac, un piccolo villaggio a 20 km da Bordeaux, è un importante centro di lavorazione della ceramica. Nel suo sottosuolo si trova un tesoro: un'argilla blu di grande qualità plastica particolarmente apprezzata dai ceramisti. La tradizione della ceramica a Sadirac risale all'antichità, con un importante sviluppo dal XIV secolo alla fine del XIX secolo. Nel comune di Sadirac erano in funzione cinquanta forni, attorno ai quali si organizzava un'intera attività, scandita dalla cottura. Alcuni forni sono ancora visibili, come quello di Le Casse, risalente al XVII secolo e situato vicino alla Maison de la Poterie.
