La Tenuta Reale di Château Gaillard è un'area verde di 15 ettari nel cuore della città di Amboise. È il paradiso dimenticato del Rinascimento in Touraine. Al suo ritorno dall'Italia nel 1496, il giovane re Carlo VIII si innamorò delle città e dei palazzi italiani e decise di ricreare "Le Paradis Terrestre" ad Amboise, a Château Gaillard. Per realizzare questo sogno, convinse 22 artisti italiani a tornare con lui ad Amboise, tra cui Dom Pacello, il più famoso giardiniere del 1500. A Château Gaillard creò i primi giardini del Rinascimento francese e acclimatò i primi aranci di Francia. Dopo 5 anni di restauro faraonico effettuato da 50 artigiani della Valle della Loira, il castello è ora aperto al pubblico. Un gioiello del Rinascimento ha appena aperto al pubblico dopo 5 anni di restauro.
