Situata al centro di Place de la Croix Blanche a Mauléon, questa bella residenza, classificata come Monument Historique, è un esempio particolarmente interessante dell'architettura del primo XVII secolo nel sud-ovest.
Fu costruito nel 1600 da Arnaud de Maytie, originario di Mauléon. Il castello è tuttora abitato dai discendenti della famiglia de Maytie, che ha dato tre vescovi alla diocesi di Oloron. All'interno del castello si possono ammirare superbi camini intagliati e arredi di pregio. Nella biblioteca, i visitatori possono osservare da vicino alcuni libri venerabili del XVI e XVII secolo. Nel sottotetto si scopre una struttura che ricorda lo scafo di una nave rovesciata.
