Di fronte alla Cattedrale di Notre-Dame, il Museo di Lescar si trova nel cuore della città storica, nelle antiche cantine del palazzo vescovile.
La sua collezione archeologica presenta la storia di Lescar, la prima capitale del Béarn, l'antica Beneharnum. I reperti archeologici portati alla luce testimoniano un ricco passato: gioielli e vasi in bronzo risalenti all'età del ferro e del bronzo, un mosaico del IV secolo, ceramiche sigillate, gioielli antichi finemente lavorati e oggetti di uso quotidiano. Questa collezione si affianca alle colonne di marmo scoperte vicino alla cattedrale, che possono essere identificate come le rovine di un battistero.
