Barsac, insediamento molto antico, vide la costruzione della sua prima chiesa nell'XI secolo. Nel XV secolo fu ricostruita e nel 1536 l'architetto Etienne Baudoyn aggiunse una cappella. Con la crescita della parrocchia, si progettò una nuova chiesa. L'architetto fu Claude Joyneau. I lavori iniziarono nel 1702 e la struttura fu pagata nel 1710. La nuova chiesa ha una pianta compatta con tre navate di quattro campate ciascuna. La facciata anteriore è dominata al centro da un campanile quadrato.
Un arco che forma un portico sostiene i piani superiori, illuminati da campate geminate con oculi, i cui angoli sono decorati da lesene ioniche.
