Un castello fortificato tra Caen e Bayeux
Il castello medievale di Creully è uno dei più importanti del Calvados dopo Caen e Falaise. Situato nel cuore del villaggio di Creully-sur-Seulles, la sua architettura insolita testimonia le numerose trasformazioni subite tra il XII e il XIX secolo. L'eccezionale sala romanica, il fossato e i bastioni contrastano nettamente con la torretta rinascimentale della facciata.
Il Museo della Radio
All'interno del castello, il Museo della Radio espone radio civili e militari del XX secolo. Testi, filmati e manufatti illustrano lo sviluppo delle comunicazioni e l'importanza di Creully come culla del giornalismo di guerra. Nel giugno 1944, la BBC installò uno studio radiofonico nella Tour Carrée del castello, consentendo ai corrispondenti di guerra di trasmettere i loro reportage sulla battaglia di Normandia.
