Raggiungibile in bicicletta lungo la pista ciclabile che parte dalla città di Hourtin, e situata vicino all'incantevole porto turistico, questa grande spiaggia sabbiosa offre spesso un'acqua a 25 gradi in cui è possibile camminare... nessuna onda all'orizzonte, ideale per divertirsi in tutta sicurezza. Un tuffo in acqua, una gita in barca per esplorare il lago, una pausa di lettura sulla sabbia... a voi la scelta! Con un'area regolamentata per il kitesurf nelle vicinanze, potrete godervi lo spettacolo comodamente seduti sul vostro telo da mare. Dopo un pomeriggio in acqua, i bambini possono continuare a divertirsi sull'isola dei bambini, un vero paradiso per i più piccoli!
Il Lac de Hourtin Carcans è il più grande lago naturale d'acqua dolce della Francia, quindi è un'area fragile che va rispettata in ogni circostanza. Gli animali domestici non sono ammessi in spiaggia in estate.
