Questo monumento, situato nel luogo chiamato "Le Grand - Mont", è stato eretto in memoria dei soldati francesi e tedeschi caduti sul campo di battaglia il 24 agosto 1914, durante l'invasione tedesca della Francia
Le truppe tedesche della 5ª armata dell'Imperial KRONPRIZ arrivarono da LONGUYON e i francesi si trincerarono sopra Noërs, la battaglia fu violenta e molti soldati caddero da entrambe le parti. Nonostante l'artiglieria francese, i soldati francesi dovettero ritirarsi sotto il fuoco delle mitragliatrici verso DAMVILLERS
Si tratta di un ossario: 57 tedeschi e 91 francesi (77 sconosciuti e 14 identificati)
Reca l'epitaffio: "Hier ruhen 57 Deutschen und 91 Franzosen gefallen am 24 August 1914"
