Dieses Denkmal am Ort "Le Grand - Mont" wurde zum Gedenken an die französischen und deutschen Soldaten errichtet, die am 24. August 1914 während der deutschen Invasion in Frankreich auf dem Schlachtfeld gefallen waren
Da die deutschen Truppen der 5. Armee des kaiserlichen KRONPRIZ über LONGUYON kamen und die Franzosen sich oberhalb von Noërs verschanzt hatten, kam es zu einer heftigen Schlacht, bei der auf beiden Seiten zahlreiche Soldaten fielen. Trotz der französischen Artillerie mussten sich die französischen Soldaten unter dem Feuer von Maschinengewehren in Richtung DAMVILLERS zurückziehen
Es ist ein Beinhaus: 57 Deutsche und 91 Franzosen (77 unbekannt und 14 identifiziert)
Es trägt das Epitaph: "Hier ruhen 57 Deutsche und 91 Franzosen gefallen am 24. August 1914"
