Situata nei comuni di Gorcy e Ville-Houdlémont in Francia e di Signeulx e Baranzy (comune di Musson) in Belgio, la riserva naturale, attraverso la quale scorre il torrente Cussigny, copre attualmente una superficie di circa 40 ettari.
È un'oasi di pace per la flora e la fauna. In passato, questa palude forniva foraggio grazie al buon funzionamento di un sistema di irrigazione ancestrale.
Sul sito sono presenti diversi tipi di habitat che attraggono numerose specie di uccelli.
Si possono osservare le paludi, i prati di fieno, i boschi, la linea ferroviaria dismessa (perfetta per osservare il sito) e i pannelli informativi.
Sono stati allestiti tavoli e panchine, nonché una pista ciclabile (sulla vecchia linea ferroviaria, vestigia dell'epoca siderurgica).
