La chiesa più moderna di Verdun.
Costruita tra il 1963 e il 1965 su progetto dell'architetto Jean-Louis Fayeton, la chiesa di Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc a Verdun rappresenta il culmine della costruzione della Cité Verte, un quartiere di edilizia pubblica costruito tra il 1957 e il 1962. Jean-Louis Fayeton ha utilizzato forme audaci per questo progetto altamente espressivo, sia in termini di design che di costruzione, reso possibile dall'ampio uso del cemento armato, che è stato lasciato allo stato incompiuto.
