De modernste kerk in Verdun.
De kerk Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc in Verdun, gebouwd tussen 1963 en 1965 volgens de plannen van architect Jean-Louis Fayeton, vormt het hoogtepunt van de bouw van de Cité Verte, een wijk voor volkshuisvesting gebouwd tussen 1957 en 1962. Jean-Louis Fayeton gebruikte gedurfde vormen voor dit zeer expressieve project, zowel wat betreft het ontwerp als de constructie, mogelijk gemaakt door het wijdverbreide gebruik van gewapend beton, dat in onafgewerkte staat werd gelaten.
