L'Ohmbach alimentava uno stabilimento balneare (Hintere Badstube). Serviva anche come lavatoio ed era utilizzato da vari mestieri legati all'acqua: macellai, conciatori, tintori, mugnai, ecc. Un passaggio pedonale passava sotto la casa sovrastando i pilastri. Proseguendo, si arriva a Place de la Liberté, che forma un insieme pittoresco e ricco di fascino medievale. Fin dai tempi più antichi, qui c'era un pozzo comunitario, i cui resti ricordano la pompa moderna. I tigli furono piantati nel 1919 come "alberi della libertà". Questo luogo era una sorta di "stube" (la "stanza degli ospiti del quartiere") dove la gente si riuniva per serate e feste.
