Appassionato di agricoltura fin dall'infanzia, Jean-Pierre ha rilevato l'azienda agricola di famiglia e ha creato una mandria di bovini di razza Aubrac. Con l'aiuto del figlio Jean-Baptiste, ha vinto numerosi premi in concorsi grazie a questa razza di mucche, riconosciuta ad Aubrac, da cui il nome.
La personalità calorosa e amichevole di Jean-Pierre e il suo amore per l'incontro con le persone lo hanno portato a trasformare la sua fattoria in un ristorante di cucina tradizionale, dove ama condividere momenti piacevoli con i suoi ospiti.
