Intorno al 1310, su un'altura naturale al centro del paese, fu costruita una prima chiesa gotica (di cui rimane il piano terra della torre, oggi base del campanile), attorno alla quale fu istituito il cimitero; entrambe erano probabilmente circondate da una palizzata che serviva da rifugio in caso di pericolo
Nel 1750, la chiesa fu ricostruita e notevolmente ampliata con l'aiuto della popolazione locale; l'interno fu poi decorato nello stile barocco del periodo Luigi XVI.
Passeggiate intorno alla chiesa e godetevi una magnifica vista sul castello di Haut-Koenigsbourg, sul cimitero di Rodern, sui vigneti e sul villaggio di Saint-Hippolyte.
