Per una sosta di alcune ore o di alcuni giorni, la posizione del pontone, nel cuore della città, lo rende uno scalo ideale per esplorare la Garonna.
Accessibile alle chiatte degli hotel (massimo 80 metri), alle case galleggianti e alle imbarcazioni da diporto, è il punto di partenza per visitare il Sud-Gironde. Grazie al suo bordo libero di 0,50 metri, può essere utilizzato anche per gli sport acquatici.
