Magnifica vista sulla valle del Lot e sul villaggio in cima alla collina. Negli ultimi milioni di anni, il Lot è sprofondato, scavando gradualmente la sua valle e liberando lo sperone roccioso di Saint-Cirq-Lapopie.
L'acqua "appollaiata" nel villaggio! Con la progressiva erosione, il calcare si è dissolto e la sabbia residua, cementata dall'acqua, ha formato delle pozze d'acqua arroccate
. In passato, ogni casa del villaggio aveva il proprio pozzo.
