Situato nel cuore del Parco naturale regionale del Périgord-Limousin, il Grand Puyconnieux, il punto più alto dei Monts de Châlus (alt. 498 m), offre un'ampia e ampia vista sulla Haute-Vienne, la Charente e la Dordogna. Parte di una catena di puy che corre in direzione nord-ovest/sud-est da Cussac a Dournazac, il sito comprende una cima aperta ed erbosa e pendii boscosi (cedui di castagno, conifere e macchie di arbusti). Il puy è fonte di numerose sorgenti e la sua cresta fa da spartiacque tra i bacini idrografici di Tardoire, Dronne e Bandiat. Una tabella di orientamento vi aiuterà a orientarvi. Godetevi una vista eccezionale sul Castello di Montbrun, uno dei più bei castelli dell'itinerario di Riccardo Cuor di Leone. Sentieri escursionistici e percorsi di nordic walking nelle vicinanze.
