L'azienda è stata fondata nel 1930 da Antoine SONNENDRUCKER come azienda di giardinaggio, orticoltura e vivaismo. Nel 1967, il figlio André SONNENDRUCKER rilevò l'azienda, sviluppando l'attività di vivaio ornamentale e aggiungendo un'attività di progettazione paesaggistica, principalmente per giardini privati, e un fioraio per composizioni floreali. Chistophe SONNENDRUCKER, la terza generazione, subentrò al padre nel 1996, mantenendo tutte le varie attività ma sviluppandole materialmente, tecnicamente e commercialmente.
