Das Unternehmen wurde 1930 von Antoine SONNENDRUCKER mit Gemüseanbau, Gartenbau und Baumschulen für Bäume gegründet. 1967 übernahm sein Sohn André SONNENDRUCKER das Unternehmen, indem er die Zierpflanzengärtnerei ausbaute und eine Tätigkeit als Landschaftsgärtner für die Gestaltung vor allem von Privatgärten und als Florist für Arrangements hinzufügte. Die dritte Generation mit Chistophe SONNENDRUCKER trat 1996 die Nachfolge seines Vaters an und behielt alle verschiedenen Aktivitäten bei, entwickelte sie aber materiell, technisch und kommerziell weiter.
