Situato a Barjac, Balsièges, Cultures ed Esclanèdes, questo sito fa parte di un complesso di scogliere e corsi d'acqua appartenenti alla Valle del Lot, particolarmente favorevole a diverse popolazioni di pipistrelli. La presenza di un mosaico di ambienti di bocage, che combina prati naturali, appezzamenti coltivati, frutteti, pascoli, foreste ripariali, siepi, boschi e cavità nelle scogliere, costituisce un biotopo favorevole per molte specie di pipistrelli.
È uno dei principali siti di svernamento del rinolofo maggiore.
