Punto più alto del massiccio dei Vosgi con i suoi 1424 metri, il Grand-Ballon permette di sciare godendo di una vista mozzafiato sulla pianura alsaziana, la Foresta Nera e le Alpi.
Il comprensorio sciistico alpino comprende 8 piste per tutti i livelli, servite da 3 impianti di risalita (di cui uno per principianti), tra i 1020 e i 1340 metri di altitudine.
