Risalente al XIII secolo, la lanterna era originariamente collocata nel cimitero vicino alla chiesa. Fu spostata nel sito attuale nel 1811. Alta 5,5 metri, la lanterna rettangolare è costruita in conci di granito ben assortiti ed è ammortizzata a forma di piramide; presenta una piccola campata semicircolare su ciascun lato della sezione superiore. Il lato ovest presenta una tavola d'altare sporgente. L'apertura attraverso la quale veniva inserita la lanterna e issata la carrucola si trova sul lato est. A pochi passi, un tavolo di orientamento offre una vista panoramica sulle montagne del Limousin e dell'Alvernia. Nelle giornate limpide si possono vedere sei dipartimenti... e il Puy de Sancy!
