Nel sito di Montalon, i cinque mulini a vento del XVIII secolo, ormai privi delle loro ali, sono gli unici ricordi dei mugnai che sono stati i "signori" del luogo per tanto tempo. La particolarità è che si trovano sul punto più alto della regione di Cubzaguais (73 metri). Un magnifico panorama si estende dal tertre de Fronsac alle Côtes de Blaye e a Bordeaux. Ai piedi del Moulin de Montalon, una stele segna il passaggio del 45° grado di latitudine nord, equidistante tra il Polo Nord e l'Equatore.
Il sito è stato recentemente riqualificato, con l'aggiunta di una scalinata intorno al mulino per consentire ai visitatori di ammirare il magnifico panorama, e i residenti e i visitatori possono ora godere di un parco alberato dove passeggiare, contemplare e rilassarsi con l'installazione di tavoli da picnic.
