La cappella è stata costruita sull'antica Fosse des Trépassés, una delle più importanti cave di ardesia della città nel XVIII secolo. Il tetto in ardesia è caratterizzato da una croce. Di fronte a questa cappella si trova il cosiddetto verdeau, cioè un mucchio di detriti di ardesia inutilizzabili che formano una sorta di cumulo di scorie. Ma attenzione... Non chiamateli cumuli di scorie. Nel gergo dei cavatori di ardesia, queste colline artificiali create dall'accumulo di scarti di ardesia sono proprio dei verdeaux. Si prega di notare: La cappella si trova in rue Sainte-Barbe, di fronte a rue des jardiniers.
