Situato nei Pirenei atlantici, nella zona montuosa della regione del Bearn, nel cuore della Valle d'Ossau, questo rifugio d'alta quota, accessibile solo a piedi, si trova lungo l'escursione intorno al Pic du Midi d'Ossau, nel territorio del Parco Nazionale dei Pirenei. È anche il punto di partenza ideale per raggiungere numerose vie di arrampicata sul massiccio di Ossau.
