La varietà del rilievo conferisce a questa parte del Valois un fascino del tutto particolare.
Al centro domina un grande plateau di calcare, coperto da un pesante e fertile strato di argilla che favorisce un'agricoltura ricca, e a nord ci sono i numerosi piccoli valloni del Rus e torrenti che si collegano con la valle dell'Automne. A sud si trovano pendii boscosi con nomi sonori: Montagne de Rosières, Bois des trois Chênes, Montagne du Clos, Mont Grézin.
