Olveston è un piccolo villaggio e una parrocchia più grande nel South Gloucestershire, Inghilterra. La parrocchia comprende i villaggi di Olveston e Tockington, e le frazioni di Old Down, Ingst e Awkley. La popolazione della parrocchia civile al censimento del 2011 era di 2.033. Alveston divenne una parrocchia ecclesiastica separata nel 1846. Il distretto è stato abitato fin dall'età della pietra e le paludi salmastre che costituivano quasi metà della parrocchia, furono progressivamente bonificate in epoca romana e sassone. Un muro marittimo fu costruito nello stesso periodo per prevenire inondazioni dall'estuario vicino del fiume Severn.
